Since January 2024 Charlotte Henkle has been part of the Amazon MQ team at Amazon, working on RabbitMQ. Charlotte has been at Amazon for 16 years and during that time she’s worked on several different teams, including Retail Catalog and Amazon Photos. Prior to joining Amazon MQ, she was the head of engineering for the OpenSearch project, which is a community-driven, Apache 2.0-licensed search and analytics suite. Before Amazon she worked as a federal contractor writing software for the US Army, US Marine Corps and the FBI and worked at the University of Chicago Biological Learning Center Academic Computing writing software for researchers and students.
